Ivy & Stevie

1971

Kay Dick was a close friend of both Ivy Compton-Burnett and Stevie Smith, both writers of idiosyncratic talent who admired each other’s work. Both were single and both shunned publicity but each allowed Kay to record informal conversations.

This is the record of those conversations and also Kay’s reflections on them. It was the first contribution to the biographies of these two remarkable women.
